Born in 1932 in Kharkov, Ukraine. In Kiev studied painting, monumental art and architecture, in institute and then postgraduate. From 1956 has been working in this fields.
Since 1990 lived in Jerusalem.
Paintings in many private collections, including Ukraine, USA, France, Germany, as well in the collection of the Museum of Israel.
Boris Lekar is a laureate of the Mordechy Narkis prize, prize of the Israeli absorbtion Ministry, prize Ish Shalom (Jerusalem).
