Olga Florenskaya was born in 1960 in Leningrad in a family of sculptors Natalya Dolinskaya and Andrey Semchenko. In 1982 OF graduated at St. Petersburg Mukhina Art and Design college (faculty of ceramics). The member of MITKI art group (1985-2000). Member of St.Petersburg Artist Union since1989. In 1990 studied in INSTITUT DES HAUTES ETUDES EN ARTS PLASTIQUES (Paris– St.Petersburg).
Since 1994 Olga Florenskaya has been working in collaboration with her husband Alexander Florensky on big joint projects such as “MOVEMENT TOWARDS IYE”, “RUSSIAN PATENT”, “MOVEABLE BESTIARY”, “LOCAL TIME”, “RUSSIAN TROPHY”, UNIVERSAL MUSEUM OF WILHELM WINTER”, etc.
Olga Florenskaya works in different fields of art: painting, ceramics. sculpture, book illustration and graphics (artist is known as the author of the numerous paper and fabric collages) and is involved also in literature and animation.
OF took part in production of the 56 minute animated film MITKIMAYER (with A. Florensky as a chief artist) in1992.
In 1994 OF made her own 15 minute animated film “THE GREATEST MIRACLE” and in 2004 – 10 minute animated film “TROPHY FILMS” (in collaboration with A. Florensky). OF took part in a large number of film festivals, both in Russia and abroad (1993-2002) and got a number of prizes.

The State Russian Museum (St Petersburg), State Hermitage (St Petersburg), The State Tretyakov Gallery (Moscow), The Pushkin Fine Art Museum (Moscow), NCCA collection (Moscow) and in large number of art museums in Russia (Yaroslavl, Tver, Omsk, Arkhangelsk, Novosibirsk, Kaliningrad, Ivanovo, Saratov, Sochi, Kursk etc); KIASMA and Helsinki City Art Museum (Helsinki), Victoria & Albert museum (London), collection of Hand Print Studio International, Washington, DC, art collection of the GRAND VALLEY State University (USA), etc.
Artist lives and works in St Petersburg and Tbilisi.
